Eco-friendly flame retardant
avanFIRE GR-8 is a combination of graphene-derived materials which show exceptional synergies with other FR additives containing polyphosphates and hydroxides. It enhances a compound’s fire resistance performance thanks to the production of a carbonaceous layer (CHAR), which is very effective in preventing further contribution of combustibles to the flame, reducing dripping, and distributing the energy produced by the flame.
No-Ignis features simple application for fire safety. Simply spray and dry. As an extinguishing media again simply spray to quench fire. It is completely environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and suitable for both domestic and industrial use.
avanFIRE GR-8 enhances compound’s fire resistance performance thanks to the production of a carbonaceous layer (CHAR), which is very effective in preventing further contribution of combustibles and comburents to the flame, reducing dripping and distributing the energy produced by the flame (heat). It finds a particular home in Silicone Rubber compounds where the addition of traditional FR products can be difficult to incorporate.
The current trend in the construction industry is a move to renewable products. One such move is the use of natural fibres like hemp, and being a natural product it requires treatment to instil flame retardant properties. In keeping with the move to greener products, Noignis® is a 100% natural none-toxic alternative to halogenated FR chemicals.
Noignis® was conceived when it’s inventor saw the dangers of how quickly a dried out Christmas tree could destroy a house. A single treatment of Noignis® safely prevents the tree from combustion.
avanFIRE GR-8 is a useful product for resin systems as it has a limited effect on the thixotropic nature of the resin system.
